Usage
prep <spell>
Example: prep fire boltAlso typed as prepare
Readies a spell you know so that your next cast of it is instant. You stand preparing for as long as the spell takes to cast - a blow that lands on you meanwhile may break it, and your channeling is what holds it - and then hold the spell readied until you cast it, let it go with stop, or a blow breaks it. One spell at a time. Nothing is paid until the spell is released, and a readied spell does not survive death or leaving the game. If you need it sooner, cast it while you are still preparing: it lands at whatever share of its strength you had prepared.
Good to know
- Refused while you are a ghost, sleeping, resting or sitting.
- A blow. Typed while you are still recovering from the last one it is dropped rather than queued, so it never fights the battle for you.
