Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 August 2026 · Azurite Solutions LLC

This policy explains what personal data Azurite Solutions LLC collects when you use Starfire, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We are the data controller.

We do not sell your personal data, and we never will. We do not run advertising, and we do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

1. What we collect

When you create an account

When you play

Automatically

When you buy something

We never see your card details. Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record. We receive a record that a purchase happened - what was bought, when, the amount, and a transaction reference - so we can grant what you paid for and handle support. Your payment details stay with the provider, under their own privacy policy.

When you contact support

Your email address, what you tell us, and our replies - kept so we have the history of your issue.

3. Who we share it with

Only processors who help us run the service, and only what each of them needs:

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or a threat to someone's safety.

4. International transfers

We operate from the United States, so data is processed there. Where data is transferred out of the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights. UK and EU residents have all of them under GDPR; California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

Email support@starfiremud.com from your account's address and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your data protection authority - in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

7. Children

Starfire is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Traffic to the website and the web client is encrypted with TLS. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it.

Telnet is not encrypted. That is inherent to the protocol, and it is worth knowing: on an untrusted network, someone positioned between you and us could read a telnet session, including the password you type at login. If that matters to you, use the web client, which is encrypted end to end.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

9. Changes

We will announce material changes to this policy in game and on the news page before they take effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
