Usage
attack
attack <target>
Example: attack goblin
Example: attack 2
Also typed as att, hit
Attacks your opponent with the weapon you are wielding.
Your character never swings on their own - this is how a blow happens. With no target named it strikes whoever you are already focused on, so attack on its own is the ordinary way to keep fighting. Naming a target starts a fight, or turns your attention to a different opponent in the one you are in.
An attack takes a moment to recover from, and while you are recovering nothing you type at the fight will land. One typed action is one blow - though a second weapon in your other hand may swing on its own behind it, the better you are at fighting with both hands.
Good to know
- Refused while you are a ghost, sleeping, resting or sitting.
- A blow. Typed while you are still recovering from the last one it is dropped rather than queued, so it never fights the battle for you.
- The name
attackis reserved: the engine types it, so a world cannot rename it away.
